Port de Sóller is a charming coastal town located on the west coast of Mallorca, nestled in a large, horseshoe-shaped bay. It’s well-known for its picturesque harbor, sandy beaches, and historic tramway. Its sheltered location and natural beauty make it a popular destination for sailing, and it is also a well-established base for hiking in the Tramuntana Mountains.

The Port’s waterfront promenade, lined with restaurants and shops, is a bustling hub of activity, particularly during the summer months. The area’s main beach, Platja d’en Repic, offers safe, shallow waters for swimming and is popular with families. Additionally, the vintage tramway provides a unique and scenic link between the port and the town of Sóller.

Sóller, situated a few kilometers inland from the port, is set in a lush valley of orange groves between the mountains and the sea. Its rich history is reflected in its architecture, with the central square, Plaça Constitució, boasting a blend of modernist and traditional Mallorcan buildings. The 16th-century Church of Sant Bartomeu and the Banco de Sóller, a modernist masterpiece, are notable landmarks.
Sóller is also known for its vibrant Saturday market, where local farmers and artisans sell their produce and goods. The town is accessible by a historic train from Palma, providing passengers with stunning views of the countryside.
Both Port de Sóller and Sóller offer a combination of natural beauty, culture, and historic charm, making them popular destinations for visitors to Mallorca.
