The Gower Coastal Path is a 39-mile walking trail that follows the dramatic coastline of the Gower Peninsula in Wales, the first area in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1956. The northern sections of the path are less trodden, characterized by the serene Loughor Estuary and views of marshlands. The trail’s end in Penclawdd, a village famous for its cockles, provides a quieter contrast to the dramatic landscapes of the southern coastline.
The Gower Coastal Path is suitable for walkers of all abilities, with sections ranging from easy, family-friendly strolls to more challenging hikes along rugged terrain.
